Deploying newer Standard version over older Professional version

Will deploying a newer Standard version (e.g. 10.1 Std) disable the professional features of an older Professional version (e.g. 9.0 Pro)?

I suspect the answer is yes since the OCX is named the same for all versions.

If this is the case then how do I handle deployment to users who may have other applications using a different version of TXText than the one I need to deploy for my application?

The scenario I am attempting to avoid is a user upgrading some application other than mine that uses a standard version of TXText to a newer standard version of TXText thus preventing my application from accessing TXText's professional features.

No, a newer Standard version won't disable Professional features, because the information about the Version is in the application and not the shipped TX Text Control files.
