Deploying newer Standard version over older Professional version
Will deploying a newer Standard version (e.g. 10.1 Std) disable the professional features of an older Professional version (e.g. 9.0 Pro)?
I suspect the answer is yes since the OCX is named the same for all versions. If this is the case then how do I handle deployment to users who may have other applications using a different version of TXText than the one I need to deploy for my application? The scenario I am attempting to avoid is a user upgrading some application other than mine that uses a standard version of TXText to a newer standard version of TXText thus preventing my application from accessing TXText's professional features. |

Hello Clawson
No, a newer Standard version won't disable Professional features, because the information about the Version is in the application and not the shipped TX Text Control files. No problem here. Björn Meyer, TX Text Control
