Re: Loading a file.

No, that is not possible, sorry.
See here for the BrowserTextControl's Load method:

So there's is no way to load a document from the TextControl toolbar click event??? This doesn't sound right...

Im wanting when the user clicks on a button in the toolbar EX(New File), it opens a dialog window for the user to select a file to open in the editor.
I have everything working except for the part where the document opens in the editor.

Please help!

I think you misunderstood me:
You can not load a file from the customer's PC into the BrowserTextControl directly as the BrowserTextControl has no access to the customer's file system. You have to use the ServerTextControl and Javascript for that.
Here is the link to the code snippets:

Okay... you can't open a file from the users PC, but you still don't understand that I'm not wanting to have the click event on the client side in the browser.
I want for the button to reside in the windows form then when the user clicks on this button it loads a file in the editor.
Someone told me that I could use a web service but it comes up with a License error...
I currently don't have a license yet because we want to make sure this will do everything we need it for.

Can you or someone point me in the right direction and supply some code as to using the web service?

Re: Loading a file.

From what you have posted, I guess that you could mean LiveDocx.
Anyway, TX Text Control (including the ServerTextControl) is NOT a web service, but a .NET word processing component:
