Use of Append to append images,excel files etc

Hi.

I have a requirement to take a number of different files of varying types(e.g. a docx template that must be mail merged, an MS Word doc, a JPEG Image & an excel document for example) and save them as one individual pdf file.
Is this possible for these file types using the Append method?
Do each of the individual files need to be converted individually to pdf first and then appended (or is it even possible to convert all of these file types to pdf)?

I have got this working when appending multiple mail merged docx templates but I get an error if I attempt to append another type of file such as an image etc. Maybe it is not possible to do this? I am using version 14 of the software by the way.

Hello there,
If you look at TX Text Control's StreamType enumeration, you will see that neither JPG, not XLS are supported.
You could insert the JPG image in the document, though.
