Problem with FormattingStyle

Hi,

I'm merging some documents and save the new document as .doc. This works fine but when opening with Word 2007 all FormattingStyles are renamed (eg. "Heading 1" into "Heading 11").
Does anyone know where this will come from and what I can do to prevent this?

When I open the document with TX TextControl Words all FormattingStyle names are correct.

I'm using Version 15.1

Re: Problem with FormattingStyle

Hello,
How do you exactly merge the documents?
Are the style names the same in each document you are merging?

Re: Problem with FormattingStyle

I use two ways.

First: Word-Files from lokal desktop
Quote:
mTXTextControl.Selection.Load(dokumentName, TXTextControl.StreamType.MSWord);
Second: Word-Files from a database
Quote:
mTXTextControl.Selection.Load(dok, BinaryStreamType.MSWord);
The Style Names are the same in each file.

mTXTextControl is a ServerTextControl

Re: Problem with FormattingStyle

Could you please provide me a way to reproduce that?
It would be great if you could supply two files, which show the issue in MS Word when they have been merged.
Thanks.

Re: Problem with FormattingStyle

You may either attach the documents as ZIP archive or send the ZIP to support@textcontrol.com with a reference to this thread.
